I'm glad we're getting closer to fall. Summer is okay, I guess. But I'm not a big fan of high humidity and heat. It would be different if it were a dry heat, but it's not. I find it uncomfortable to say the least and I have little desire to go out and do things when it's so muggy. :-(

We had a little bit of rain late this afternoon, but it's pretty reasonable right now.

I'd say, though, that having humidity over 80% is probably going to have you whining, isn't it?

We just had a strong thunderstorm go by, heading east. Knocked out our power for about 2 hours, we just got it back.

We had a brief thunderstorm come through and blip our power for 5-10 seconds, but that was it. Lost a phone call and had brief Internet interruption, but both came back within a minute or so. and it's nice to have laptop batteries because my laptops stayed operational except for about a minute of network outage. It came just as I was wrapping up my half day of work, though, and I work from home, so it took ten or fifteen minutes to wrap up and ensure that nothing was lost and fortunately it seemed to work out fine.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind that. Better yet, how about some weather like either San Diego, CA or Honolulu, HW? Not too hot, but generally warm, not too many extremes! :-)

Isn't Honolulu really humid though? :-S

It may be, but the temperatures are usually pretty moderate - neither really hot nor really cold, probably one of the half dozen most even tempered climates around. You have to be careful which island you live on, but I don't know of any recent earth tremors or anything like that affecting Honolulu. Apparently that constantly active volcano on one of the neighboring islands relieves the pressure of regular eruptions elsewhere in the island group; one of the islands is a constantly active (and lava spouting) volcano, but I have not read any recent reports of activity elsewhere.

By the way, New England weather this past week seems to be tracking lower Michigan weather, trailing it by about 24-30 hours. If that is the case, expect cool, much cooler, weather, perhaps even today, and almost certainly by tomorrow. We have had two "Fall like" days in the sixties, expect just slightly warmer weather tomorrow, and seventies heading toward the weekend, possibly back up near eighty by the middle of the weekend. Perhaps you will get similar weather there as well.

It is currently 64.8 °F and Mostly Cloudy in Fraser, Michigan, my original home town, and 62.7 °F at a near by Wunderground Personal Weather Server Station located near me in Clinton Township. By the way, I believe that Kevin G. Wagner (Cagey) lives - or once lived, in Clinton Township as well, possibly within one or two miles of where I live. I have been trying to see if I can connect to him, and if I do, I will let you all know.
